At Sinasound Post we deliver precision audio while striving to challenge ourselves to be better than the day before, as creators and human beings. Sinasohn was my grandfathers original family name. As a survivor of the Holocaust he changed his name to Stare to not be seen as Jewish. By paying homage to my family name I hope to restore what has been lost. To restore audio is to preserve the past. I take pride in my work. By merging my love for sound with my origins, I hope to bring that care to my business. Sinasound reflects my love for sound design and audio restoration.
The fusion of Jason's visual art and audio background gives Jason a leg up when working in film. His life experience is based in visual art and sound. As a result Jason knows intuitively how to tell a story through sound by enhancing the visuals, and understanding the cohesive relationship between picture and sound.

WHO WE ARE

Jason works as both a post production sound designer and production sound person, which gives him a unique perspective from all sides. Jason is a drummer, sound designer, re-recording mixer, production sound mixer/boom op, and visual artist from New York. Graduated from S.A.E. Institute in Los Angeles with a certificate in audio engineering and the Maryland Institute College of Art (M.I.C.A.) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. Currently lives in Los Angeles.
Jason has performed with a number of musical acts, most recently drumming for The Submarines (5+years). Performed on Love Notes/Letter Bombs (The Submarines) along with Jim Eno (Spoon). He shared the stage touring with Amiee Mann, The Walkmen, Richard Holy, Mason Jennings, The Morning Benders, The Brunettes, Brett Dennen and many more talented artists.

HOW IT WORKS
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN EACH QUOTE:
The Mix / Deliverables
Included in flat rates is 2 stereo mix’s to be delivered at 24b 48kwav – 1 film compliant mix, 1 web mix,
$10-$30 per stem, Additional Fee for: M&E stem, compliant stems and additional compliant mixes are all billed at an additional hourly rate or negotiable rate.
After first mixing session or mix is delivered, there will be three rounds of notes included.
1st round of notes is an unlimited amount of notes you have.
2nd round of notes pertains only to anything that was mentioned in the 1st round of notes.
3rd round of notes pertains only to anything that was mentioned in the 2nd round of notes.
This process for notes will keep us in quoted budget and delivery time. Any additional notes are billed at an hourly rate and may affect our budget and timeline.
Remote mixing sessions through zoom or face time. After that it is $50/hr for adjustments to mix.
IF RE-SYNCING IS NEEDED
Additional fees apply ($80/hr) for having to re-sync audio to picture do to an improper OMF/AAF or new edit of picture.
I recommend you to everyone, because I appreciate how much attention you give to all aspects of filmmaking, love your attention to detail as a sound engineer and recordist, and love your energy. Extra bonus - thank you for having our back on an ethical level as well.
